Meet the Founder: Nancy Mae

Nancy Mae is the creator of the Energetic Fertility Method™ and has spent more than 15 years supporting individuals and couples through the emotional, energetic, and spiritual dimensions of fertility and conscious conception.

Her background bridges psychology, intuitive development, meditation, and energy medicine, bringing a grounded and integrative perspective to this work. Nancy’s approach emphasizes discernment, nervous system awareness, ethical intuitive practice, and compassionate support for all paths to parenthood.

She is also the author of The Energetic Fertility Method™: Tools for a Healthy Conception and Beyond and has studied spirit baby communication, including conversations with the late Walter Makichen, author of Spirit Babies: How to Communicate with the Child You’re Meant to Have.

Through this certification, Nancy invites practitioners into a carefully guided formation process — one that honors both the sacredness of fertility and the responsibility of those who choose to support it professionally.

Kathleen Magnus

Kathleen Magnus is a certified Energetic Fertility Method™ practitioner who supports clients through fertility-focused energy work, Spirit Baby communication, and emotional and energetic integration.

As part of the certification team, Kathleen provides practitioner facilitation, mentorship, group support, and practicum guidance throughout the training experience. Her grounded presence and supportive approach help practitioners deepen both confidence and discernment as they develop their skills.

A Grounded Approach to Energetic Fertility

The Energetic Fertility Method™ (EFM) is a chakra-informed, energetically attuned framework that explores how subtle energetic patterns may influence conception, identity transitions, and creative life cycles. Unlike mindset-based approaches, EFM works through embodied awareness, nervous system attunement, and relational energetics.

EFM may explore themes such as:

  • Relational imprints from past partners

  • Energetic entanglements

  • Unresolved grief or unspoken experiences

  • Identity shifts around motherhood

  • Nervous system activation patterns

  • Spiritual readiness and energetic alignment

Practitioners are trained to approach these areas with sensitivity, respect, and strong scope-of-practice boundaries.

How the Certification Experience Unfolds

This certification combines live teaching, supervised practice, personal mentorship, ethical development, and collaborative integration.

Throughout the training, practitioners participate in:

The intention is to support practitioners in developing both confidence and discernment through direct experience and grounded mentorship.

Direct Mentorship Through Personal Sessions

As part of the EFM Certification experience, each participant receives:

• One 60-minute one-on-one reading with Nancy Mae
• One 60-minute one-on-one reading with Kathleen Magnus

These private sessions allow practitioners to:

• Experience the Energetic Fertility Method™ firsthand
• Deepen personal clarity around their own energetic patterns
• Refine intuitive discernment through lived experience
• Receive individualized feedback and insight
• Strengthen embodiment before facilitating sessions for others

This personal immersion ensures that practitioners are not simply learning a framework intellectually — they’re integrating it somatically, energetically, and ethically.

Spirit Baby Communication — Held with Care

Spirit Baby communication is included as a meaningful component of the training.

In this program, Spirit Baby work is approached with discernment, steadiness, and ethical clarity. Participants learn how to:

  • Notice intuitive impressions without over-identifying with them
  • Use neutral, non-leading language
  • Support client autonomy and emotional safety
  • Differentiate between imagination, projection, and intuitive perception
  • Stay regulated while holding tender fertility journeys

This work is taught as a supportive framework — never as prediction, certainty, or outcome-based promise.

Nancy’s background includes conversations and sessions with Walter Makichen, author of Spirit Babies. The Energetic Fertility Method™ integrates elements of this lineage while standing as its own distinct and carefully structured approach.

A Live, Closed Learning Community

This certification unfolds within a live, closed cohort.

The group structure allows for:

  • Shared learning and collective wisdom
  • Structured supervision and case consultation
  • Peer-directed feedback circles
  • Practicum review
  • Ethical discussion and refinement
  • Ongoing integration support

The cohort model encourages both professional growth and collaborative reflection. Many practitioners find that learning alongside peers strengthens their discernment and confidence.

Step 1 — Foundational Study + Ethics

Participants complete:

  • Structured study of EFM methodology
  • Written assessments
  • Ethics and scope-of-practice training

Ethics are emphasized early in the program to ensure all practitioners feel steady and clear before moving into supervised client work.

Step 2 — Supervised Practicum

Practitioners complete 10–30 client sessions applying EFM principles.

Three video-recorded sessions are submitted for review within the group supervision format.

Feedback is thoughtful and constructive, designed to support refinement, clarity, and professional confidence.

Step 3 — Spirit Baby Practice Labs

Within these quarterly supervised sessions, practitioners:

  • Practice intuitive listening
  • Strengthen neutral language
  • Explore discernment
  • Receive calibrated peer and faculty feedback

The focus is steady growth rather than performance.

Step 4 — Original Tool Development

Each practitioner develops three original energy medicine exercises tailored to their client population.

These are presented within the cohort and refined through discussion and feedback.

Step 5—Business & Practice Integration

Nancy shares guidance on:

  • Integrating EFM into an existing practice
  • Communicating fertility and Spirit Baby work responsibly
  • Maintaining ethical marketing language
  • Supporting long-term practitioner sustainability

The emphasis is on alignment and integrity rather than urgency or overpromising.

Upon Completion

Practitioners who successfully complete the certification may:

  • Integrate EFM principles into their existing professional work
  • Offer EFM-informed energetic fertility sessions

Nancy Mae and I met through my need for guidance in my fertility journey. I felt such intense and beautiful resonance with Nancy Mae’s work, not just personally but also with the work that I do as a yoga therapist and self-care specialist. 

 
In my life, my work is very integrated into my life. I live my work and to see that in Nancy Mae, too, was very powerful for me. It generated a strong sense of community, which made me feel that we were in this together. I felt so much transformation and unfoldment working with Nancy Mae. For me, generally it’s hard to find someone to help me with my process because I need to feel that the people I’m working with are also doing their work. I felt that Nancy Mae was doing her own personal growth work, not just trying to teach something that’s theoretical, but actually experiential in her life. Nancy’s experiential relationship with the work she teaches was hugely powerful. It’s not something she read; it was something that she’d done. 
 
Our journey was such an interesting and complicated one coming to these places where it felt like a dead end and then finding in the unfolding these new pathways. My blockages were not where I imagined they would be. I can talk to the baby’s spirit and I can meet Nancy there so well. But can I talk with doctors and fertility specialists? 
 
Nancy helped me to find my process, which was in a certain way backwards from many people’s experiences. For me the challenge was this more linear place, and Nancy helped me see this in a way that nobody else was able to because their own stuff was in the way. People would imply that it was so hard to get feminine, and that was not hard for me. The hard part was cultural in some sense – it was to say, “I’m going to talk with a doctor.” I wouldn’t even think to do that.  
 
The more I worked with Nancy the more I realized that it was about having a baby for me – and not about other things. This was really surprising to me because I kept on thinking, “It’s okay. I can let this go.” And every time I came to that conclusion I felt a strong, “No. This is something that’s going to happen. I just haven’t figured out the right way yet. We’re just working on it.” Nancy helped me to tune into this feeling. With Nancy’s help and guidance I’m happy to say that I’m a proud mama to a beautiful baby and I continue to learn from this unfoldment. 
 
In getting to that place of training with Nancy it made sense to me to learn from her, as I work with women who are trying to get pregnant quite a bit. Nancy is a consummate professional in the realm of manifestation and I find the entire structure of the Energetic Fertility Method to be perfect. It’s an amazing container for dealing with a whole gamut of people, styles and learning modalities. So many people can be integrated into this one system because it touches so many different levels and it feels very integrated unlike so many other systems I know. For me, this is special because it’s inclusive instead of exclusive. I feel that my work with clients fits into that inclusive model. 
 
While training with Nancy to become a coach for her Energetic Fertility Method Program, I enjoyed observing Nancy Mae working. EFM is a strong container for a wide range of people and the program itself is an extension of Nancy Mae. Working with Nancy personally and listening to her help people process what was going on for them, I learned so much about communicating with people less familiar with the energetic and feminine aspects of the self. The way that Nancy is able to hold people is really supportive, openhearted and clear. Each of the steps that come up when Nancy is talking with someone is so much arising from Nancy’s personal experience with each person as an individual. There is no cookie-cutter approach. 
 
There were a lot of times when I trained with Nancy and just listened to her because I learned so much about how to bounce energy back and forth to people in a way that’s supportive. Nancy is able to really see each person for the individual they are...
 
As a mentor, Nancy is an excellent sounding board for all of the ideas that came up in my consciousness. Professionally, I learned how to slow down in my work. When I’m working with Nancy Mae I hear myself more clearly. I become more and more reflective on what I’m doing, the words I’m using, my thoughts and feelings as they arise, my sense of groundedness. Instead of just being a container for clients, I recognize what my containership means. Because my personal and professional work are so close to one another, I’m more present at home. Through working with Nancy, I became more and more lucid with my own process.

I moved very quickly from a participant in her programs, when I was solely just looking for fertility support and a connection with spirit babies, to a relationship with her as my spiritual coach. Things I thought I would never be able to do have now become quite seamless in my daily life and I attest that to being able to work with Nancy in the way that she does and the energy that she can hold for many individuals.
